My two friends and I had an absolutely wonderful time staying at College Crest in Galway. We certainly felt like it was a home away from home. The staff was wonderful and always friendly. The breakfast was amazing - best Irish breakfast that we had anywhere in Ireland! I also really enjoyed how there was a common living room where guests could relax instead of posting up in their rooms. The actual room was quaint and comfortable. I would most definitely return to the College Crest. In fact, I daresay that was my favorite accommodation throughout my entire two week cross-Ireland tour!

I enjoyed my stay at College Crest House. The staff were nice and providing a cosy environment. The location is ideal as it's only 5 mins walk to the Eyre Square / Town Centre. Coach Station is not far off either. Breakfast was fantastic with lots of options/varieties to choose from.

We stayed here for two nights at the beginning of a ten day tour of Galway and Kerry. We thought it was a nice place, served good food and was not too far from the centre of Galway. Our room was a touch on the small side but was clean and well furnished. Although the house is situated on a main road we didn't feel there was any excesive noise from passing vehicles. We were made to feel welcome and enjoyed our stay here. We would certainly stay here again.

Location and facilities were excellent. Only slight concern was students outside on streets talking loud until quite late 3-4 am. I suppose this comes with the location next to college.

This was a very convenient and relaxing place to stay during a very busy week. I liked the spaciousness and brightness of the room, the comfortable bed, steamy shower, as well as proximity to the town centre. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend this guest house to others. While I didn't have a car, the spacious car park is also a plus.

On our walk from the train station to College Crest (about a 7 minute walk), there were numerous B&B's and other guest houses lining the roads. I'm sure they were nice, but College Crest is the place I'd go to if I return to Galway. The location was perfect for me as I like to be a little outside of where the main action is happening (the 12.333 minute walk back from downtown is good for the blood after a solid night of rambling). Galway was super busy when I was there in the week before Easter, so it turned out to be a good choice. Our hostess Helen was extremely helpful, hospitable and happy to have us as her guests. My friends and I shared a triple room decorated in the style of a not-as-creepy-as-it-sounds lavender little girls room. The beds were singles (very single!) but very comfortable. Everything in the room smelled great (until all that heavy Irish food made a reappearance...). The bathroom was a bit small for three with a slanted ceiling above the toilet. Luckily there was a skylight allowing us tall people to stand up straight. Water pressure and heat were decent and did the job for our two days in Galway. In the morning, we consumed the full Irish breakfast, which consisted of eggs, sausage, bacon a.k.a. fried ham, toast (Irish people LOVE their toast it seems -- each person got at least 4 slices plus untoasted soda breads and such wherever we went...), black and white puddings (I think?), a tomato, and coffee or tea. The coffee was pretty good and the puddings were actually tasty. I'm not sure what her name was, but there was another woman who served us breakfast who was also very nice. All in all, a great stay in Galway! *Sidenote: College Crest offers free parking out front which came in extremely handy. Galway is the perfect launching point to see the Connemara area (car required)
